Theodore Gen Knipfing
Founder
Prior to starting Plus Curiosity in Tokyo in 2018, Theo was based in Hong Kong, first as Cushman & Wakefield’s Head of Retail in the APAC region, then as COO of Husband Retail Consulting, an HK-based consultancy focused on placemaking and advising shopping centre developers in Asia & the Middle East.
Theo also spent five years in Shanghai where he first served in a regional retail expansion role for Apple, then as Head of Cushman & Wakefield’s retail leasing business in China.
Theo is half American and half Japanese, and a native of Tokyo.
Asami Otsuka
Food + Beverage Consulting
Asami has supported the launch of numerous restaurants across New York as well as had experience writing for a popular F&B media company in Japan. She also has extensive experience at Japan's top Real Estate Developer Mitsui Fudosan and the renowned F&B operator Cafe Company.
Tomo Kawaharada
Development Project Management
Tomo has 20 years of experience in urban and commercial development. As an executive director at MSC, he oversaw the research, planning, leasing, promotion and execution of numerous major retail development projects.
Marco Pagani
Creative Direction
Marco Pagani is an interdisciplinary Creative Director specializing in 360° creative strategy for fashion & lifestyle brands, working across brand campaigns from concept to execution, with a strong focus on content creation for social media, editorial planning, and e-commerce.
